Once you understand the product’s intended use for the consumer, you may choose the best material to manufacture it from. Verifying the material makeup is the initial step. The original manufacturer has minimum order quantity (MOQ) restrictions for certain supplies. You’ll have to negotiate with smaller material dealers if you’re testing with a tiny quantity. Some material suppliers are dishonest in claiming to offer imported goods on the certificate they issue but sell inferior materials. For this reason, it’s crucial to thoroughly vet potential vendors by tracking out the origins of their raw materials.
Currently, Hashimoto has to be able to track its receiving resources back to the mine before it will use them or choose a supplier. The supplier must provide the original material certificate, traceability investigation, multiple ingredients, origin, no dangerous compounds, and compliance evidence certifications. The materials above are cold rolled and calendared. Only the SUS420J2 annealing again after cold rolling and calendering, and SUS631 will undergo solid-soluble heat treatment (1000~1100°C quench). It is via these that the product’s material properties and stamping function are guaranteed.
